CM – With Fallout 76’s custom worlds, you can turn private servers into a playground

Fallout 76 has released a player-controlled custom world for public testing

2

Fallout 76 always promised proper custom servers, and they just launched the first version of it. With Fallout Worlds, players can control a private Fallout 76 instance with their own rules and tweak the settings for every aspect of the game. Players will encounter bespoke building rules, OTT enemies and more.

The upcoming update is not a level editor, but a settings editor. When creating a custom world, you are in control of a number of options. You can allow players to set up their camp in previously restricted areas or design them so that their build does not require electricity. They can allow for complete freedom of construction and invite towering unsupported huts to emerge.

The game balance can also go to its knees. You can unlock unlimited things, spawn all kinds of creatures where they shouldn’t be, play with the weather, and make people jump over buildings. It could be crazy. Or it could be the place for you and your friends to get seriously involved with the almighty Mothman, the greatest creature that has ever stalked through the night. When you have ten minutes, let me tell you about our Lord and Savi – oh, ok. Another time.

Creating and hosting a world is limited to Fallout 1st subscribers, but they can invite anyone to their game. That will absolutely cause some people to wake up in a dark room with the words “Who wants to play a game?” Written on the game’s neon sign. What is good. There are often funny ideas that nestle in the back of the community’s mind. Instead of asking them from Bethesda, they can do it themselves in a small way.

Unless you have a benevolent friend with a first-time subscription, there are publicly available servers hosted by Bethesda with suggestions from the community as to what terrible settings they will create. They change monthly.
