The Prime Minister of Finland left a high-level meeting of the European Union on Friday after learning that someone she had had contact with earlier in the week had tested positive for COVID-19

Sanna Marin returned from Brussels to be tested « as a precaution, » she wrote on social media A spokesperson for Marin told Business Insider that she was not showing any symptoms

Before seeing his exhibition, Marin attended two working sessions and a working dinner Thursday and Friday with dozens of European leaders

Marin appointed Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Löfven to work on Finland’s behalf at the EC summit, a move made possible by the countries’ close historical ties and similar party positions of their current governments
