A mysterious monolith that had puzzled viewers has disappeared from where it was discovered in the Utah desert.

The metal structure was first used on 18. Discovered November 11th by state officials helping count sheep from a helicopter, though it was unclear how they got there.

Well, just as mysteriously, it has disappeared and officials said its removal had nothing to do with them, but rather to an « unknown party ». .

The Utah Bureau of Land Management said the structure it labeled « private property » was closed on the evening of Jan.. November removed from « a person or group ».

Officials never disclosed the location of the monolith, but internet pundits quickly identified its location, leading a number of intrepid seers to make the difficult journey to see it.

Helicopter pilot Bret Hutchings, who was among those who discovered it, said it was « the strangest thing I’ve come across in all my years of flying out there ». .
