Mr. Crisafulli, a father of two, began his political career in Northern Queensland, before moving to the southeast of the state.
He is a former journalist who grew up in Ingham and worked there and in Townsville until he became the youngest person to be elected to Townsville City Council
He moved to state parliament as part of Campbell Newman’s crushing victory in 2012, then went to work as Minister for Local Government and Community Recovery
Mr Crisafulli moved to the Gold Coast when he lost his seat in the LNP loss in 2015
Before the 2017 election, he outperformed former Rep. Ferretti Barton in the primaries in the Broadwater seat, winning his second term in the seat on the October 31 ballot, and securing a big primary swing
