After the latest round of coronavirus tests, two players tested positive and two others received inconclusive tests, meaning they must self-isolate

The club have decided to go ahead with a scheduled game against Hull KR tonight, but bosses will be concerned about the situation ahead of this weekend’s Challenge Cup final at Wembley

In a statement, a spokesperson said: « The Salford Red Devils have had two rounds of routine tests on Covid-19 since last Thursday’s Betfred Super League game against the Huddersfield Giants

« The results of the second round of tests were received this morning Two players tested positive and had to self-isolate

« The results of two other players were inconclusive – they also self-isolate as a precaution, before information is received

« Eight more players were excluded from today’s match due to injury, but the decision was made to honor the match, in order to preserve the integrity of the competition

« Practice sessions have been canceled on Sunday and Monday as a precaution, meaning no additional players are affected »

Salford will face Leeds Rhinos at Wembley on Saturday in the Challenge Cup final at Wembley
