Ahead of what is set to be its biggest Christmas ever, Australia Post is recruiting more than 4,000 people across the country to help deliver record-breaking parcel volumes – the biggest hiring spree of 210 years of organizational history
Nearly 2,900 Christmas casuals will be hired for transportation and deliveries across the country, with another 300 full-time and part-time fixed-term customer contact center opportunities in Brisbane and regional regions of South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria and Queensland
In addition to the Christmas casuals, Australia Post is also recruiting around 900 positions in other areas of the business, including the post office network, to help better serve customers
People & Culture Executive Director General Sue Davies said this year’s Christmas casuals will be a welcome boost to a workforce that has worked incredibly hard all year round

Last year Australia Post received more than 23,000 applications for casual Christmas positions Earlier this year, more than 50,000 applications were made for the 1,000 casual employees hired in response to the impacts of the COVID19 Australia pandemic Post encourages people to apply in all fields, especially for customer contact centers and transportation
