Developer Lendlease will effectively buy back Jordan Springs East and give the residents of the so-called’ sinking suburb ‘.
The Daily Telegraph reports that Lendlease is offering to buy back any home that has been flagged by Penrith City Council as vulnerable to significant damage by landings if it is shown that the homes are actually damaged.
Stressed residents have to deal with large cracks inside and outside their home, sunken driveways and crumbling streets.
Penrith City Council is believed to have notified 841 homes despite Lendlease claiming the damage was limited to one or two streets.
