Eddie Jones knows there is little room for complacency as his English team prepare for the toughest Autumn Nations Cup test yet.
After beating Georgia 40-0, Jones’ side rarely had to get out of second gear as they ran out of rampant winners. The story will be very different on Saturday when they welcome a high-profile Irish team to Twickenham.
After an impressive 32-9 home win over Wales in Week 1 of the tournament, Ireland know that beating England would put them in the top Group A drivers’ seat.
While morale is high after winning the Six Nations title, England will try to keep the spirits up ahead of the Christmas season by securing more cutlery.
The couple will face an important competition at Twickenham Stadium on Saturday at 3pm.
With second place in first place, both teams will feel the weight of what is at stake.
The competition is one of three games that will take place on Saturday between Italy’s game against Fiji at 12 noon. 45pm and Wayne Pivacs Wales aiming to end their sad form against Georgia at 5am. 3pm.
Both Amazon Prime and Channel 4 own the rights to this clash, with Amazon Prime being the main broadcaster for the entire Autumn Nations Cup and showing 14 of the 16 games on offer.
Channel 4 will show all of Ireland’s group matches after rights have been acquired before Amazon entered the race.
Coverage of Channel 4 begins at 2 a.m.. 3pm with Lee McKenzie, along with Chris Ashton and Rory Best to analyze all the action, while Amazon has also secured stellar names for its expert team – including Sam Warburton, Topsy Ojo and Bryan Habana.
