New facilities at Wallsend, Stockton and Salamander Bay include cricket nets and a cricket pitch, funded by the ICC T20 World Cup 2020 Cricket Legacy Fund, Australian Cricket Infrastructure Fund, local clubs and councils.

NSW ICC T20 World Cup Legacy Fund provides up to $ 6 million to cricket clubs and councils to help grow cricket participation in NSW and provide an enduring legacy of T20 World Cups for women and men guarantee.

Acting Sports Secretary Geoff Lee said the projects are great examples of how the NSW ICC T20 World Cup 2020 Cricket Legacy Fund is benefiting grassroots cricket across the state.
