Sydney [Australia], 26. November (ANI): Australian test skipper Tim Paine has revealed his love for almonds and stated that he never misses the chance to include almonds in his meals. At an event jointly hosted by the Almond Board of Australia (ABA) and the Australian High Commission New Delhi, Paine said, « I’m a huge fan of almonds, I even replaced my normal milk in coffee with almond milk. « Paine knows that he shares a love of almonds with Indian consumers, especially at parties and weddings.
Australia is the second largest almond producer in the world. The Australian almond industry continues to grow and in 2019-20 the country reached an orchard area of 53. 014 hectares – that’s over 26. 000 Melbourne Cricket Grounds. Australia is India’s second largest source of almonds after the USA. Australian Deputy High Commissioner for India Rodney Hilton said: « Relations between Australia and India offer enormous potential for both countries. Our economies complement each other more than they are competitive. « The strong partnerships between ABA, the Australian almond growers and local importers have given local consumers the best result, » said Hilton. Tim Paine will next be seen in action in the upcoming series of tests against India. The first test between India and Australia will start on Jan.. December at the Adelaide Cricket Ground. (ANI)
