World News – AU – Kevin Na, Sean O’Hair team for 56 scramble to lead QBE Shootout

Kevin Na and Sean O’Hair shot in the opening round of the QBE Shootout at Tiburon Golf Club at 16-under-56 Naples, Florida.

They lead Ryan Palmer and Harold Varner III with one shot. Harris English and Matt Kuchar shot 58, as did Lanto Griffin and Mackenzie Hughes.

The field consists of 12 two-man teams. You will compete in round 2 in a modified alternative shot and in the finals on Sunday in a better ball (four ball).

With a modified alternate shot, both players tee off and the team chooses the second shot. The player who did not hit the chosen tee hits the second stroke and continues to change until the hole is finished.

If the ball is better, both players play their own ball for each hole and the lower score is recorded.

Kevin Tway and Rory Sabbatini are the defending champions. They are three of the 18-hole guide following an opening 59.

Rory Sabbatini and Kevin Tway won the QBE Shootout on Sunday, bird-watching the final two holes in the best-ball game for a 12-under-60 year old and a two-stroke win.

Brendon Todd and Billy Horschel shot a 6-under-66 in a modified alternate shot on Saturday to get a share of the lead in the second round of the QBE shootout.

Harold Varner III and Ryan Palmer shot a 17-under-55 in the QBE Shootout on Friday to hit the scramble record since the event moved to Tiburon Golf Club in 2001.
