The 20-year-old cricketer, who also plays in the Indian Premier League for Delhi Capitals, confirmed the news on social media.
« It is my sincere duty to tell you all that I have tested positive for COVID-19. I’ve had some body aches since Wednesday. But my health is improving a little now. If all goes well, I will return to the field. Keep me in your prayers, ”he tweeted.
Lamichhane did exceptionally well in the Australian T20 competition and formed a strong combination with Australian limited overs spinner Adam Zampa in the Melbourne Stars.
