PIERS Morgan mocked his Good Morning Britain co-host Susanna Reid as he shared a live clip of New York City in the 2016 US Presidential Election
The 55-year-old took to Instagram last night to cheekily target Susanna’s ‘sucking lemons’ face when he announced that Donald Trump had won the election in 2016

In the clip, the broadcaster is seen talking to the camera as the Big Apple skyline twinkles in the background and Susanna, 49, grins hilariously as he confirms that Trump had been elected to the Oval Office
However, the hilarity didn’t end there as the clip then began to focus on the presenter’s facial expressions as the theme of the beloved American comedy Curb Your Enthusiasm played
Captioning the video, Piers wrote: « #tbt New York, 2016 – the moment I announced live on @gmb that Donald Trump had become President of the United States
Seeing the funny side of the video as well, Susanna shared the same clip earlier today and wrote, « FOUR YEARS AGO! #CurbYourEnthusiasm »
Previously, Piers and Susanna had hoped to return to the United States to cover the Good Morning Britain election
However, the on-screen duo and GMB team were forced to cancel planned plans amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic
Although their travel plans were blown up, they covered Joe Biden and Donald Trump’s run to the Oval office today from London
As it stands, the heated contest could boil down to the main Rust Belt states that Trump won in 2016: Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin If one of the contestants wins two of those three states, they’ll take the White House
Overnight, Biden failed to deliver a coup de grace by winning key states that paved the way for the presidency and once again Trump challenged opinion polls to create a upset election night
Speaking in Delaware early this morning alongside his wife Jill, Biden said: « We feel good where we are We feel we are on the right track to winning this election
« It’s not over until every vote is counted We feel really good in Wisconsin and Michigan We’re going to win Pennsylvania »
Trump won Florida early on and despite early indications of possible shock wins for Biden in the Red States
The Democrat’s lead was eroded during the evening as more votes were counted – leaving the election on a razor’s edge
For months, opinion polls predicted Biden would win by far after four years of a turbulent Trump presidency
But the race is much closer than expected with ‘Trump’s timid vote’ becoming a reality – as in 2016
