World News – AU – Razer Iskur Gaming Chair Review: « A Huge Successful First Razer Gaming Chair »

Razer’s first adventure in gaming chairs is a big hit: Iskur is very comfortable, has great adjustability, and looks stylish – but it’s expensive

Razer started to find its way into other areas of gaming hardware over the past year or so – the Razer Raptor was their first gaming monitor and exuded that Razer quality, for example – but few between us would have expected them to make a contender for the best gaming chair of 2020. Yet here we are: the Razer Iskur has landed, and it’s good very good

First things first: Iskur is a big gun Even in unassembled box form it is a huge, heavy unit with the box itself weighing in at around 30kg It has that Razer quality and his sense of humor even in packaged form, however, with the instruction ‘leaflet’ being a piece of card the size of the entire box, and a very cool and fun safety instruction graphic greeting you before getting the parts outside to assemble the beast

Speaking of which, there are several parts, but these are the usual suspects of the armrests, main chair, wheels, base and column that all need to be put together The necessary tools are also carefully packed so you have everything you need right out of the box, and the build took me about an hour and a bit Instructions are clear, although slightly inappropriately displayed on this huge piece of map!

The design is very much in line with the styles and aesthetics of Razer A Symphony in Black and Green, the multi-layered synthetic leather is fully black with different patterns on all parts, while the stitching is that famous Razer Green which accentuates every rise and fall of the chair shape and every edge and design shape line It is stylish, very nice and has a great design overall

There’s also no top branding: there’s only a single ‘Razer’ logo on the upper back, a Razer snake behind your neck, and the mantra ‘For Gamers, by Gamers. ‘at the front of the seat This means that most of the brand symbols are obscured and thus increases the chair’s ability to blend in with general office furniture and room styles There’s also a removable neck pad, which completes the design if you’d rather have a bit more softness on you As a result, and as the pictures show, it’s not really a gaming chair for PS4 or Xbox – in the living room or living room sense, either way This is entering the gaming chair market for the office or the office-related end of the spectrum (naturally, because that’s where you’ll be playing on your Razer setup. PC)

Finally, and unfortunately, I have to point out that there is no RGB present on the Iskur – although having to be plugged into a power source to supply power to said RGB could compromise somewhat the smooth movement of the chair

This is the section where Iskur starts to pull away from the pack, at least in its different take on comfort et al, and at best in its catering excellence For a bit of background, I was starting to having a little back pain working at home and playing in a more entry-level gaming chair this year, but that was all resolved by introducing Iskur to my daily life day job and game setup

The back and lumbar support are the main reasons The shoulder support deviates enough from the aesthetics of the racing chair to ensure that your shoulders are not shunted forward but rather supported by the back – for someone who has had operations on both shoulders this is very noticeable The height of the back support is also sufficient for many different people as Razer wanted to suit all body types – Iskur supports up to 299 lbs / 136 kg of weight and heights of 6ft 2/190cm

The adjustable lumbar support is arguably the centerpiece of the Iskur’s design, however Instead of additional cushions or slightly domed lumbar systems, the Iskur deploys a comfortable, padded trap-like system that can tilt ( hinged behind your upper back and pushing towards your antler – naturally) to support your lower back as much as needed for you and your body There is no one system here, and flexibility means you can do it perfectly. turns around incredibly hard and quickly if you’re not sitting on it, and it will feel a little odd at first, but you’ll quickly get used to it and enjoy the best posture it pushes you towards

The armrests are the same excellent «  4D  » armrests found on other high-end gaming chairs, allowing you to move them back, forward, side to side, side to side, up and down and rotate them to the place best suited to your positioning There are a few rattles on the armrests as if they are not adjusted well enough, but this is probably due to the design which allows so much maneuverability and customization in their positioning

My legs and butt have never been so comfortable, and the Iskur doesn’t try to cram you into its uncomfortable form like a bucket seat; there is plenty of leg room to move around and the rump is well supported with room to move around if you need it

You will also have all the customization options you need in the chair itself, in terms of height, tiling and tilt, etc. It didn’t take long for me to find a comfortable position with the Iskur, although I’ve enjoyed the ability to keep tinkering with it ever since, given the customization available.

Using the chair is, unsurprisingly, a joy because of it all It’s comfortable, supports me well, and I no longer have that back pain of a cheaper chair It also holds its position: it there are no small rollers away from the desk on the wheels to slightly shift your weight, even on my hard floor protector

All in all, when you’re sitting at your desk and over whatever you’re playing – whether it’s one of the best gaming laptops or one of the best gaming PCs like the ASUS GA15 that I use – this is a really awesome chair It will have you covered no matter how you prefer to sit, or even how you should be sitting (such is its success in promoting good posture)

Compared to my old midrange chair, the Razer Iskur is a huge improvement It allowed me to see its benefits firsthand and recommend it even more easily than it would be without a benchmark It’s a considerable investment at $ 499.99 / £ 499.99, but it’s not surprisingly more expensive than other high end gaming chairs

If you’re looking for a high-end chair to be your first or to upgrade, this could very well be the best option. It’s a hugely successful first gaming chair from Razer, and the Iskur will make a quick trip to the top of our list of the best gaming seats, that’s for sure.

Razer’s first gaming chair adventure is a big hit: Iskur is super comfortable, has great adjustability, and looks stylish – but it’s expensive
