EVERTON playmaker James Rodriguez has been « found out » by Premier League rivals about the weather, claims Gabriel Agbonlahor.

The Colombian international was in hot form in the opening weeks of the season with six goals in his first four Premier League games.

Recently, however, he has struggled not to score or help in his last five games.

Rodriguez’s fall in form coincided with a mixed string of results for Everton, who have slipped to seventh place in the table.

And former Aston Villa striker Agbonlahor believes Rodriguez would be eliminated from the starting XI if Toffees boss Carlo Ancelotti had a deeper squad available.

« He’s got cold and he’s probably thinking, » I didn’t know it was that cold in England. « .

« He doesn’t have time for the ball he got in the first few games. I think he figured out a bit to be honest.

« He’s not really giving the team as much as he should be and if Everton had a few more high profile players on the bench, James certainly wouldn’t start as he hasn’t done much in the last three or four games.

Everton started the season on a bang after Rodriguez’s arrival at Real Madrid and won the first four games of the season.

But the Toffees had a win after seven games before beating Chelsea 1-0 at Goodison Park last Saturday.

Rodriguez missed this game due to injury and is hoping to get back on the squad for tomorrow’s trip to Leicester.
