NBC apologized after the restart of Saved By The Bell and made fun of Selena Gomez’s health.

Stan posted a teaser for his upcoming Saved By The Bell series, and some old favorites have returned.

NBC apologized after the restart of Saved By The Bell and made fun of Selena Gomez’s health.

In a recent episode that premiered on Stan, two Bayside High students discuss who the identity of Gomez’s kidney donor is. They argue over whether it was Justin Bieber’s mom or Demi Lovato who donated the kidney.

A graffiti message that reads, « Does Selena Gomez even have a kidney? » appears to be written on the wall in another scene.

NBCUniversal and the show’s executive producers apologized on Saturday, telling Variety in a statement: “We apologize. It was never our intention to shed some light on Selena’s health. We have contacted her team and will make a donation to her charity, The Selena Gomez Fund for Lupus Research at USC. ”

Selena’s good friend Francesca Raisa was the person who donated a kidney to Selena in 2017.

Since the drama on the show, Raisa made a statement on Instagram that she had received personal apologies from some of the people involved in the show.

« Some of the cast and producers have personally reached out to me to apologize, and I really appreciate that, but I want to acknowledge that this public apology from the network should recognize the donors who have been insulted by it could be. It’s not about me, it’s about recognizing the huge role that donors play at @nbc @peacock #savedbythebell, ”Raisa shared on her Instagram story.

She also wrote on her Twitter: « Appreciate the apology but let’s not forget the donors who may have felt offended and dismissed by the spray paint on the wall. ”

« There are no words to describe how I can possibly thank my beautiful friend Francia Raisa. She gave me the ultimate gift and sacrifice by donating her kidney to me, ”Gomez wrote on Instagram at the time. “I am incredibly blessed. I love you so much sister. ”

A direct sequel to the 1989 series, this iteration of the show still takes place in Bayside High, where Slater (Mario Lopez) is now the trainer and Jessie (Elizabeth Berkley) is the school therapist.

Jessie’s son, the handsome, good-natured, but stupid Jamie (Belmont Cameli), is a student, as is Mac Morris (Mitchell Hoog), the son of Zack Morris (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) and Kelly Kapowski (Tiffani Amber) Thiessen ).

Zack is now the governor of California after running for office to get out of a $ 75 parking fee.

Although the original cast of six African Americans, Lark Voorhies and Lopez, are of Mexican descent, the new class is more diverse not only in terms of cultural background, but also in terms of economic circumstances.

Immersed in the shiny world of Bayside, the transplants Daisy (Haskiri Velazquez), Aisha (Alycia Pascual-Pena) and Devante (Dexter Darden) are agape in the Teslas in the student car park and in the artisanal bath bomb club.

It’s more than a fish-out-of-water story. The resuscitation series explores the gap between the disadvantaged children, whose extracurricular responsibilities include looking after younger siblings because their parents have tough jobs, and the privileged Baysiders who wear LeBron James Fendi shirts and text.
