Well, what a week Congratulations to those who found Twilight Payment to be a great win and potentially a new model (even paced advance) for future raiders?
Today marks the end of the carnival Looks like a good day in Flemington Class prevails a bit The Rosehill reunion was decimated by scratches, leaving us to work on what’s left to find winners
I’ll do my best I’m using 22 units for both meetings today – a new record Most of my house edge is on the line
Dixie’s tally for 2020
Units wagered: 443
Units won: 472 ten
Statistics are based on one unit equating to a winning bet of $ 1 NSW Dividends See comments for any changes based on scratches or track condition
Race 1 – 6 Miyake (two units)
This horse was scratched on his last grade He is fine and should like 2400 meters
Race 3 – Dance Gidget 2 (one unit)
This horse is another well placed Chris Waller rider with the apprentice claim (a theme today) This horse has positive track and distance stats and will handle conditions
Race 4 – Proven Class 15 (one unit) The Proven Class is really good value for money on its highway victory I’ll have a dabble
Race 5-13 Responsibility (one unit)
This one is my speculator of the day Waller used an apprentice claim very well and the horse is reaching its correct distance
Race 7 – 5 Irithea (one unit)
This horse has excellent second and 1400 meter stats This horse prefers dry conditions but sits around the mark in a field decimated by stripes
Race 8 – 1 Frosty Rocks (two units)
Frosty has tested well and is normally very competitive in this type of grade This horse should have a soft lead
Race 9 – 8 Misteed (one unit)
This is the last chance for Misteed This horse has class on these and the soft surface is good Quick save is always a tick
Race 1 – 10 Kissinger (two units)
This horse is a good remnant who pumped them around the country last time around, is losing weight and should be fine at 2000 meters
Race 3-8 Morvada (one unit)
It’s a tricky race Morvada is still around the mark and the right track (all seven wins are firm) puts him in the mix
Race 4-7 Power Scheme (one unit)
This race is a draw with Right You Are I take Power Scheme with races under his belt this preparation and at the best price
Race 5 – 2 Pondus (four units)
I made Pondus my best of the day He was awesome in his first race in Australia I suggest he has a little bit on the rest
Race 6 – 2 Nature Strip (one unit)
Six straight lines can help Nature Strip back to its best Its Sydney stuff was disappointing but it has a good price here If Libertini shows up, be careful The bivouac is a huge threat Hey Doc? Great go
Course 7-13 Chaillot (two units)
Chaillot was great in stronger class last week, looks good for the extra trip here and could be just fine
Race 8 – 8 Melody Belle (one unit)
It’s another very good race Melody Belle didn’t shoot in Sydney but was brilliant afterwards in New Zealand She’s a top liner
Race 9 – Llessur (one unit)
It’s a spicy way to end the carnival Llessur has won two victories in this preparation, works well and has drawn well on the outside fence
It’s a big day Good luck everyone Keep me posted on your big thoughts. Hope the carnival was a winner for you
