Australian wicket keeper Alyssa Healy scored a sensational century in the women’s Big Bash League on Sunday in Sydney, her fourth in the history of the tournament.

No other player has scored more than two centuries in the tournament, but Healy now has four against her name, even though her team’s innings didn’t help the Sydney Sixers qualify in the top four and missed the net run rate.

However, the Sixers saw a consolation win over leaders Melbourne Stars thanks to an explosive innings from Healy that drew 15 fours and six sixs. It eventually fell to 111 of 52 balls, three runs behind Ash Gardner’s record individual standings.

Sixers ended up wobbling after Healy’s release but managed to get over the line to complete what was collectively the highest chase in the tournament.
