One woman has died, two other people, including a three-year-old girl, are in hospital and a seriously injured teenager has been arrested after an alleged attack at a house belonging to Fool Warren South.
Police were called to Springvalley Way in southeast Melbourne just after 1pm on Monday after reports that several people had been seriously attacked.
A 42-year-old woman was flown to hospital with severe upper body injuries after the incident, but later died.

A 15-year-old boy was arrested by the police at the scene and taken to the hospital, where he remained under police protection with serious injuries.
« Investigators have yet to determine the exact circumstances, but are not looking for anyone in connection with the incident, » said a Victoria Police spokesman.
There was a considerable police presence at home on Monday afternoon, with parts of the residential street cordoned off with police tape and a police helicopter deployed.
A spokeswoman for Ambulance Victoria confirmed that four people from the scene had been rushed to hospital in severe condition with upper body injuries.
One person was taken to Alfred Hospital in critical condition while another was taken to Dandenong Hospital and a child was taken to Royal Children’s Hospital, the spokeswoman said.
