World no. 1 Michael Van Gerwen was eliminated from the PDC World Championship with a 5-0 defeat against Dave Chisnall.
On an excellent performance by Chisnall, the average was 107. 34 when he whitewashed three-time champion Van Gerwen and made it to the semi-finals of the competition for the first time on Friday.
Chisnall’s last four opponents will be two-time winner Gary Anderson, who previously defeated Dirk Van Duijvenbode 5-1.
Anderson, the 2015 and 2016 champion, lost the opening set before moving up to a 5-1 victory averaging 101. 07.
