In the form of a quiet half-century, Wriddhiman Saha got invaluable batting practice ahead of the first Test against Australia, but his other famous Indian counterparts couldn’t keep beating when their warm-up game against Australia A ended here on Tuesday.
Mark Steketee, a moderate pacemaker who scored impressive numbers of 5/37, stood in the way of some sessions of good punching practice on the third and final day of the Touring Indians.
Saha made up for his first innings, scoring the visitors opening goal with 54 points after receiving 100 deliveries at the Drummoyne Oval on the third and final day of voting.
The seasoned Saha prepared for the first test and found the fence seven times during his stay in the center.
