Chhattisgarh chief minister Bhupesh Baghel, who is the congressional observer for the Assam elections, has informed the BJP of the rival party’s tension over its chief candidate.
Mr Baghel said at an election rally in Dibrugarh on Monday that BJP could not announce a candidate for prime minister due to an « internal conflict ».
« An internal conflict has arisen in the BJP and therefore they are not disclosing the name of the candidate for election, » said Baghel. </ "The BJP government has failed to control the skyrocketing price hikes. The people are suffering. The Sarbananda Sonowal-led BJP government in Assam has failed on all fronts and under its rule the syndicate Raj is growing large syndicates," said Mr Baghel.
Mr Baghel said the Congress-led alliance would get more than a hundred seats in Assam. He claimed the BJP government failed to fence in the border between India and Bangladesh.
