Miami Heat stars Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo were banned from scheduled showdown with the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday due to the NBA’s health and safety protocols as part of the coronavirus pandemic.
Butler and Adebayo were banned added to Miami’s COVID-19 log list on Monday, joining teammates Goran Dragic, Kendrick Nunn, Maurice Harkless, Udonis Haslem and Okpala concentration camp.
The Avery Bradley heat protection had been added to the list of health and safety protocols before the matchup against the Boston Celtics on Sunday was postponed.
In the coronavirus situation, the game on Monday between the New Orleans Pelicans and Dallas Mavericks and the encounter between the Celtics-Chicago Bulls on Tuesday were postponed. </ Miami is ninth in the Eastern Conference with a 4-4 record after reaching last season's NBA final, which was eventually beaten by the Los Angeles Lakers.
