World News – CA – At least two Port Charles residents tragically die in the floating rib explosion

Monday, 23. November 2020: Laura tells Sonny about David Hamilton today in the General Hospital, Alexis’ family stages an intervention and Julian tries to confess.

Dante arrives at The Floating Rib parking lot when the building explodes and knocks him down. He gets up and calls 911. Julian runs over, finds Daniel’s hat and panics.

Laura meets Sonny in the gym. She says Cyrus is coming after her for a murder she committed. She tells him about her relationship with David Hamilton and how she accidentally killed him. Although she was convicted of murder, it has been suppressed because of her age. Sonny wonders why Cyrus would be so interested. It seems to her to be more than blackmail.

Carly meets Portia at the General Hospital and asks for an update on Sasha. The doctor assures her that she is holding on. A phone call comes in about the explosion in The Floating Rib.

At the penthouse, Sam tells her mother that she and the family will no longer activate her. Valentin and Diane ask them to let them help. Before Alexis can leave, Molly tells her not to walk away from the best parts of herself. After the cave, Alexis sits down and tells her to put it on. Diane has prepared a statement and is reading it, asking her to come back to her and be her old friend again. Alexis says this is not the end of the world. She’s just enjoying a cocktail. They get word of the explosion and Sam leaves Molly to take care of Scout because she does not trust Alexis with her child. Alexis starts looking for alcohol, but Sam has removed everything. Molly goes upstairs and Valentin reads his letter and tells her how much he owes Alexis. She will always be his sister, even if there is no blood between them. Unmoved, she finds a bottle and complains about Jason and how inevitable the disaster was tonight.

Liz is the first to wake up in The Floating Rib and then Franco. While she is helping Cameron get up, Dustin comes up to Lulu and notices her. Dante finds her, checks her pulse and clears away the debris. He helps her up and she starts crying for Dustin. First responders arrive when Liz tries to stop Franco’s bleeding. Carly appears outside and finds Julian stumbling around in Daniel’s hat. Next up are Mac, Laura and Sonny. Mac fears this may have been a gas leak. Dev is evicted by the paramedics and Sonny goes to the hospital with them. Carly tries to call Jason. Dante takes Lulu to her mother when Dustin is rushed to the emergency room. In the back of the ambulance, Sonny begs Dev not to die. Dev asks him to tell Joss that he is sorry and then dies. Sonny gets out and returns to Carly. They talk about the house they gave Dev and he realizes he needs to call Brando. Sam and Diane arrive, desperate for news of Jason and Danny. When Sam enters an alley, Julian follows her to confess. She is not interested in listening and walks away. Jason suddenly appears and Carly runs into his arms. Sam comes over next and explains that Danny is fine.

At the General Hospital, Lulu is told that Dustin has serious internal injuries. Dante tells her to get checked out before she sees him. He walks down the hall to check on Dustin, who promises to be there for Lulu. While he’s coding, Portia comes in and tries to save him, but it’s too late. Dante walks down the corridor, tells Lulu and shows her the ring Dustin gave him before he died. Meanwhile, Liz is talking to a doctor who has good news and bad news. Moments later she goes to Franco and tells him that he needs brain surgery now if he is to live. He would rather die than risk going back to the man he used to be. She ignores this and signs the paperwork. Franco insists that she has to let him go.
