Joshua Cheptegei of Uganda broke the men’s 10,000m world record on world record day in Valencia on Wednesday night while Ethiopia’s Letesenbet Gidey broke the women’s record 5000m world record

The 24-year-old records a time of 26:11:02 at the Estadi Del Turia which breaks the 15-year-old world record of Ethiopian Kenenisa Bekele in the 10,000m of 26:1753
