Comedian Bill Burr rocked internet fighters with his controversial Saturday Night Live monologue that transformed waking culture

The comic took no prisoners during his monologue and covered everything from people who didn’t wear masks during the coronavirus, gay pride – even actor Rick Moranis was attacked, which he took jokingly celebrated as a throwback to New York City

The tongue-in-cheek joke on Moranis made him wonder if it would be « canceled »

« I’m probably going to get canceled because I made that joke, how stupid is this canceled thing? » They’re literally running out of people to cancel They’re now going after the dead They’re trying to cancel John Wayne « 

Wayne, who died in 1979, has been assaulted in recent years for his mymisogynous and racist views

Comedian Bill Burr’s SNL monologue about culture cancellation and revival has been criticized on social media for being « homophobic, » « misogynistic » and « odious »

People said now was not the time for Burr’s monologue, but he had supporters

Burr recounted when he learned about Gay Pride month while filming Judd Apatow’s The King of Staten Island movie in New York City

He said he asked a porter why the town was so crowded with people and was told it was temporary, that they were in town for the June Gay Pride month. , to which he clicked inside Burr’s head, « Tank tops! » Zero percent body fat! Two guys kiss! I did not know that! « 

« It’s a bit long, don’t you think? For a group of people who have never been enslaved? Burr joked as the audience giggled

« How did they have the whole month of June? » Dude, black people were actually enslaved They get February They get cloudy for 28 days, the sun goes down at 4pm, everybody is shivering, nobody wants to go to the parade

« How about connecting them to July? » Burr asked, pointing out that « These are people from the equator! Give them the sun for 31 days! There are black homosexuals, who could celebrate from June 1 to July 31 – celebrate 61 days! «
