The Pittsburgh Steelers are trying to get back to winning ways in a matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday. It was a great opportunity for the suddenly struggling Steelers to claim a win after losing two straight games in their last two games.
Two Pittsburgh players had to leave the game against Cincinnati due to injuries. Both Eric Ebron and full-back Derek Watt were unable to continue due to injuries. This report is from Steeler, Communications Director Burt Lauren:
INJURY UPDATE: #Steelers FB Derek Watt & TE Eric Ebron has been banned for the remainder of today’s game.
Ebron left the game in the second phase after being hit by two Bengali players when he hit his only goal of the game. Reruns showed the 27-year-old was hit before receiving the ball, but the umpires chose not to throw a flag as the game was labeled incomplete. E.. .
As for Watt, the 28-year-old RB suffered a head injury during the game and was unable to return either. The severity of Watt’s injury remains to be seen and Pittsburgh will hope he hasn’t suffered a concussion here.
After the competition against the Bengals on Tuesday, the Steelers have two more games on the program. They face the Indianapolis Colts in Week 16 and end their campaign with a matchup against an emerging Cleveland Browns team in Week 17.
