Police have arrived at a BBQ restaurant in Toronto that has announced on social media that it will contravene provincial lockdown orders to ban indoor dining.

In a three-minute video post on Adamson Barbecue’s Instagram page Monday night, owner Adam Skelly stated his intention to open the Etobicoke location at 11 a.m.. m. on Tuesday for full dine-in service.

Toronto and the Peel Region entered the provincial lockdown phase of the provincial COVID-19 response framework on Monday.

Due to the new restrictions, all indoor and outdoor dining options are prohibited in restaurants and bars. Facilities can continue to offer take-out or delivery services.

In the Post, Skelly questions the government’s intentions and the accuracy of the COVID-19 case count in Ontario.

Skelly believes that small businesses and restaurants are unjustly affected by the provincial government’s new lockdown restrictions.

Customers, many without masks, arrived at the restaurant as it was preparing to open at 11 a.m.. m. CityNews’ report, Adrian Ghobrial, noted some were shouting about conspiracy theories.
