The Challenge is back and more exciting than ever with its upcoming Double Agents season airing on Wednesday at 8 p.m.. m. ET on MTV. This season is full of strong competitors, whether they are established veterans like CT Tamburello or rookie Olympian Lolo Jones. The cast also includes survivor alum Jay Starrett, who made a splash during his rookie season on The Challenge: Total Madness. During an exclusive interview with PopCulture. com explained to Starrett how he approached his second season of the MTV series, and even shared his pitch for any Survivor fans considering making the jump to The Challenge.
Fortunately for Starrett, he won’t be the only member of the Survivor family to take part in the challenge this time around. Natalie Anderson, who turned 29. Won the season of Survivor and in the 40th. Second season (one season with all winners) will make her debut on The Challenge this season. With Survivor alumni growing in the MTV competition, fans of the CBS show should definitely be ready to lean on their favorites as they attempt to win their share of the grand prize. But if you’re a survivor fan who isn’t all that familiar with The Challenge, Starrett has explained exactly why you should get ready for the long-running MTV show.
« Survivor fans, jump over to The Challenge because not only is your favorite player Jay Starrett on the show, but your second favorite Natalie Anderson is on the show too. And I’ll pave the way and we’ll pave the way together, « Starrett told PopCulture. com exclusively. « And honestly, Survivor’s strategic game is still there. So Challenge also has strategic gameplay. And on top of that, you have to be a serious athlete to win this thing. You’re not just starving. These are all competitors who have trained hard, eat healthy, take care of themselves, and drink at the same time. I don’t understand how that works, but yes there is. «
Just like Starrett said, The Challenge incorporates many of the same elements that Survivor fans have come to know and love (minus the entire Survivor aspect, of course). . Of course, that also means that the reality star will face a strong group of competitors, just like with Survivor. Starrett added, « When you see the house you have a big smile on your face and you are so excited. But after the first five seconds of saying, « Hell, yeah, I have a house, » I started looking around. And while everyone’s still stumbling over how amazing this house is, I think OK, here’s an Olympian (Jones). Here’s a WWE wrestler (Lio Rush). Here is Darrell [Taylor], Golden Glove and also the four-time winner of the challenge. Killa Kam [Williams] is here. CT is back. . . I ask, « Oh my god what? » My competition got so much tougher. «
When it comes to navigating these competitors, Starrett shared that he is simply trying not to do anything « weird », particularly with Tamburello, whom he beat in one of Total Madness’ most discussed and exciting eliminations. « In my mind, I think okay, Killa Kam is here. Don’t piss her off or she will get you and she will find a way to do it because she is super smart for this game, ”he explained. « And on top of that, just don’t piss off CT because I don’t want to do anything weird. «
Despite facing a number of competitors, Starrett is still approaching his time at The Challenge and life in general with a positive attitude that could convince just about anyone. When asked how he manages to stay positive both on and off screen, he said, « Wake up every day with a smile and be blessed that you have another day to live and the opportunity have to do the things you love or do change the world in a certain way or just help someone or text someone. It’s nice to just give love and share love. That’s all that counts. That’s why we’re all here anyway just to love each other and honestly find out.
