David Braley, also a former senator and owner of a Canadian Football League (CFL) franchise, has passed away at 79

Braley was the owner of auto parts maker Orlick Industries Limited and, over the past decades, had pumped tens of millions of dollars into local health care and education

You can follow his philanthropic journey through a series of Hamilton buildings that bear his name, including the David Braley Health Sciences Center, the David Braley Athletic Center at McMaster University, the David Braley Athletic and Recreation Center in Mohawk.
