The past few months have been brutal for everyone trying to live their lives in the midst of a deadly pandemic. Financially, it has been particularly challenging for small businesses in every state.
In Michigan, Governor Gretchen Whitmer closed some businesses and schools in the state again for three weeks and Kelly Stafford was not happy.
Kelly, who is married to Detroit Lions QB, Matthew Stafford, has moved to her Instagram account to vent. Citations copied by clickondetroit. com:
« So I’ll be very honest: I got over it too much. I ended up living under the dictatorship we call Michigan. I understand there is a pandemic, and I know it is very frightening. I’m afraid of him, too. If you are at risk, do not leave your home until a vaccine is available.
“But closing all these small businesses – the things people have worked for – and closing them again is not the answer, because they will not.. So once we can leave our home, once this dictatorship decides to allow us some freedom, there will be nothing left.
« You’re just done. I see all these people and it makes me feel tears. Me – and believe me, I know there are people who say, ‘This is really ignorant of you. How can you say that? “Listen, I know not everyone will agree with me. Not everyone will agree with my every step. This is life, okay? We express our opinions, we move on.
« That’s my opinion. I feel this small business. It doesn’t mean I don’t feel about people with COVID or hospitals. I am doing. But this is my opinion. I don’t feel – I don’t like living in a place where they tell me what I can and cannot do. I live once. Again, this is my opinion. You have yours, everyone has theirs, and we keep it in mind.
