Holloway emerges from losing streak after dropping a unanimous decision against Alexander Vulkanovsky at UFC 245 that cost him the featherweight title, then losing to Volkanovsky by split decision in an immediate rematch at UFC 251 in July. Before those setbacks, Holloway had won 14 consecutive games at 145 pounds (including one where his opponent lost weight) and captured the featherweight title three times and defended it successfully.. .
Kattar has been 6-2 since joining UFC in 2017. He has won two consecutive matches and four of the last five fights, with knockout victories over Jeremy Stevens, one-time UFC title rival Ricardo Lamas, and Chris Fishgold. On his last outing in July, he defeated Dan Ige by unanimous decision.
