Channel Nine Melbourne’s longtime newscaster Peter Hitchener was unable to finish his bulletin Monday night and was replaced after apparently struggling to read his teleprompter.
Nine messages briefly said in a statement via Twitter after that Hitchener had a migraine while reading the news.
« He’s resting now and we expect to see him back on deck tomorrow night, » said the network.
Clint Stanaway replaced Hitchener, who has been publishing the Melbourne Bulletin since 1998 and recently celebrated his 75th birthday.
