Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel was promised a bumper transfer kitten this summer, with the Borussia Dortmund duo of Erling Haaland and Jadon Sancho among his big goals.
Tuchel has Relieved Frank Lampard of Stamford Bridge last month and has been assured that he will receive money from Blues owner Roman Abramovich for this summer’s transfer scramble.
This could give Chelsea a huge advantage in the next transfer window, as many of their rivals could be hampered by the financial repercussions of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Since Dortmund struggled to win for To qualify for next season’s Champions League, club officials have admitted that they expect Sancho at the end of this season.
Dortmund refused to sell Sancho last summer despite intense negotiations with Manchester United, but that position will almost certainly change when the next transfer window opens.

Chelsea expects to pull a large number of fringe players out of circulation in order to finance their last transfer splash. Callum Hudson-Odoi is a player that could be offered as part of a mega-deal with Tuchel’s former club Dortmund.
It is also believed that Tuchel increased his interest in Bayern Munich star Niklas Sule when he tried to strengthen his defensive ranks in the summer transfer window.
