World news – CIA Releases UFO Documents « Black Vault » Early: How To See Them Online

Through the Freedom of Information Act, thousands of the CIA’s documents on unidentified flying objects (UFOs) – or unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP) as the government calls them – can now be downloaded from the Black Vault, a website operated by Author and Podcaster John Greenwald Jr.

The CIA claims they have now provided all information on UAP, although there is no way they can know that this is true.

« Investigations by The Black Vault will continue to investigate whether other documents are uncovered in the CIA holdings, » Greenwald promised in a statement on his website.

The publication will come months before the Pentagon holds a brief convention about everything they know about UAP – a date prescribed in the latest COVID-19 auxiliary bill, of all things, which was passed in late December.

The demand for alien information got so great that the CIA eventually compiled it onto a CD-ROM that Greenwald received and uploaded to the Black Vault, which was broken into dozens of downloadable PDFs,

Greenwald said to Vice’s motherboard for believing the documents are difficult to parse for calculated reasons. « The CIA has made it INCREDIBLY difficult to use their records in an appropriate manner, » he said of the « obsolete » file format. « In my opinion, this outdated format makes it very difficult for people to see the documents and use them for research purposes. »

Greenwald had several F.O.I.A. Inquiries over the past two decades to track non-confidential UAP intelligence collected by the U.S. government since 1996, he said in a Jan. 7 blog post. In a 2020 interview, he told the Columbia Journalism Review that he started inquiring with the CIA as a teenager.

« You can bring something that has lasted more than a decade into my mailbox and instantly give it to the public for free – that’s why I’m doing it, » he said at the time. « I’m pretty excited about the whole FOIA thing. »

2 / For the past nearly two years, I have had an open request to « Review Mandatory Clearance » to override some of these editorships so we can see what was hand delivered and what his advice might be. (Getting names is probably a long way.) One of the most intriguing clues in the cache is a heavily edited document showing that a former CIA deputy assistant director of science and technology was « interested » in a particular unnamed item has shown.

« He decided to take care of it personally, and then gave advice on how to move forward. That advice is classified, « Greenwald tweeted from the Black Vault Twitter account.

The dump comes at a time in history when Americans are particularly interested in extraterrestrial intelligence, thanks to a recent surge in UFO sightings and showing the viral popularity of media related to extraterrestrial life.

Last year the Department of Defense officially released the shocking video of the Navy pilots from 2004 and 2015, which made international headlines when it was first released by To The Stars Academy, a UFO research group, in 2017 and by the former Blink -182 rocker Tom DeLonge, was released in 2018.

At the time, the department claimed that the footage « did not reveal any sensitive skills or systems » and « did not interfere with any subsequent investigation. »
