London: Championship Club Bournemouth announced on Monday that they have completed the signing of former Arsenal and England midfielder Jack Wilshere by the end of the season.
The 29-year-old, who finished 2016 / 17 had a season on loan at Vitality Stadium and has been without a club since leaving West Ham in October.
Wilshere, who made nearly 200 appearances for Arsenal, is hoping to revive his career after a few frustrating years of injury.
He had trained at Bournemouth for the past few weeks before signing as a free agent.« I am impressed with the coaches, the way they work and the club’s ambitions to return to the Premier League, » he told afcbTV.
« We all share the same ambitions and I look forward to doing my part to achieve them. »
Neill Blake, Bournemouth CEO, said: « In the three weeks that he tra with us in, we’ve seen hunger and the desire to match his undisputed talent. «
The Cherries are third in the championship, four points behind automatic promotions as they want to return to the Premier League the first time.
