The fourth cricket test between Australia and India remains on track to be held at the Gabba despite a small group of the highly infectious UK variant of COVID-19 in Brisbane.
Queensland Prime Minister Annastacia Palaszczuk said she had no concerns that the gabba test would be canceled « at this point, » although the Brisbane area went into day three of a three-day lockdown to prevent the British variant from getting in the community is gaining a foothold.
« To be honest, all I hear is that it is very positive and my understanding is that the reasons are being prepared, » said Ms. Palaszczuk.
