World news – Galaxy Tab S7 and S7 get improved S Pen functions

Samsung announced a software update for the Galaxy Tab S7 and S7 tablets in the first quarter of 2021. The update includes updated features for the S Pen and Galaxy Buds Pro headphones. As part of the update, Samsung promises users more continuous experiences with the S Pen.

The updates include text box areas that are normally operated with keyboards, e.g. B. an address field that must be filled in with the S pen. Anything handwritten in these fields is instantly converted to digital text, including punctuation. Users must draw a “v” between words to leave a space and an upside down “u” to connect separate words.

Samsung will support more natural notation with Samsung Notes. A new pen type will be provided as part of the update. When selected, users can use the pen to text feature to take handwritten notes and instantly convert them to digital text. The function is supported in more than 80 languages and recognizes punctuation marks or spaces.

The improvement of the scanning function for documents with Samsung Notes also brings improvements for the camera app. It is easy to access for users who scan and edit a document in Samsung Notes. Users can tap the Attach icon in the app, scan the document, and take notes directly on the scanned document.

The update will also bring the 360 audio feature that was introduced with the Galaxy Buds Pro. With the update, users can enjoy 360-degree surround sound when they watch a video on either tablet. The function is synchronized with the user’s head movements, so the volume of the earbuds can be adjusted to provide impressive audio for the user. There is no specific date when the update will be available.
