Drew Barrymore’s new daytime talk show (titled simply Drew) has already proven himself to be a force of well-being in the world, but he brought on the aqueducts on Friday when Barrymore brought had an emotional reunion with her second husband, actor and comedian Tom Green The couple married from 2001 to 2002, but Green revealed it was the first time they had spoken face to face in 15 years
Green started things off by saying that he and his parents were so happy for Barrymore and his new show, prompting her to share a memory of her mom and dad: « I was home from your parents ‘lake and I remember hearing all their voices upstairs, and I was alone and I was going to sleep, and I was like,’ This is what it feels like to be safe and satisfied before going to sleep ‘ »
Barrymore then choked on himself talking about all the time that had passed between them and that moment of reconnection « I love your parents and I really love you, » she told Green. « When you say 20 years sometimes it’s a wink Oh my God we’ve been through so much these past 20 years You’ve had a lifetime and I’ve had a lifetime, and it’s really nice to get together and register and talk about it that thrills me endlessly, and I think the world of you and I celebrate you and I still have it and I always will «
The two also remembered how they met – Barrymore asked Green to appear in 2000s Charlie’s Angels, and that’s where they hit it off – along with some of their memories together Green recalled that on one of their first dates they bought some live lobsters, but being animal lovers they released them into the ocean Barrymore recalled how Green bought him a camera as a gift, sparking a love of photography that continues to this day
Green also had his new puppy – aptly named Charlie – with him, as he and Barrymore shared a genuine moment of affection after a long separation
