Michelle Keegan teased a mysterious return to Coronation Street – six years after her character’s death
The Our Girl actress had her big luck on the soap opera, playing Tina McIntyre until she was killed in 2014 by the evil Rob Donovan
But it’s soapland after all, and on Instagram today Michelle filmed herself on the iconic Manchester set, walking past Dev’s out-of-license as she made her epic comeback
Next to the photo she wrote: “Look where I am… I feel like yesterday I was on these cobblestones”
The question is … how does she make her comeback? Will anyone be visited by Corrie’s ghost after Christmas? Or is it something much simpler, like a trip down memory lane for Michelle?
The Corrie team is currently filming their Christmas stories, with fairy lights scattered around the set to get everyone in the festive mood
Since returning to set after production of the coronavirus ceased, the team have gone out of their way to ensure the series is as safe as possible, filming as much as possible in fear of a level 3 locking if this happened
Explaining that they now have plans in place in the event of a shutdown, boss Iain Macleaod explained that they still have social bubbles as a « contingency plan » to continue filming
« I don’t want to spoil things, but right now we’re on track to hit the 60th and Christmas – so it will be narrative, » he told Sun Online.
« We’re very nimble as a genre, we can change course very quickly, so if we got to the point where we couldn’t film Christmas we would change course and shoot a standalone episode
