The December meeting at Ascot is always one of the most exciting events on the calendar. We saw some of the best horses at this get-together and look forward to seeing more.

It’s difficult to take apart a placepot, but we’re on site to see if we can secure a share of the pool for you. Check out our recommended placepot perm below

It has rained a lot in the past week, which means the current at Ascot is weak. However, more rain is planned. So make sure that it becomes soft and heavy in some places. The wind is blowing at 30 km / h, which makes it feel cold. So if you want to attend, wrap yourself up warm.

For the past seven years, Evan Williams appears to be deadliest during the New Year period. In the past six years, he has had 89 winners in the months of December and January. He’s got the ball rolling very well with six winners this month, but he’s always struggled with Ascot. In fact, he hasn’t had a single winner on this course since 2014. So are you risking his two submissions today, or are you staying away?

A few weeks ago in Newbury, during the Ladbroke meeting with MY DROGO (Leg 4, 2:30), we saw one of the best performances by a Novice Hurdler this season. . He pursued the leading pack and jumped tight. His only mistake was when a few had to fall and then he had to quickly avoid it when he ran home. He was severely disabled but still managed to reach the front line. He is certainly one to look out for in the future, but he will also have a huge say in the Supreme at Cheltenham if he continues this upward trend.

With 14 runners in the first race at Ascot, there are only three places to be awarded and it looks like a couple from outside the top of the market can make an impression. One who loved their trip to Ascot last time is COLLEGE OAK (Leg 1, 12:45). Page Fuller rode the horse beautifully and stayed as quiet as a mouse until asked to speed up. His turn came in a lovely time and if he does something similar this time he’ll be getting a huge hoot in the last couple of furlongs.

Another one in the race who seems to have a big chance is JACAMAR. His shape looks great as Champmanshype is now a tiered runner and Flash The Steel has a big step up in class ahead of them. He has faced some high profile opponents and while this is a very competitive proposition the field doesn’t have the same skills.

The second race at Ascot looks like many units could be canceled. Everglow and Nickelsonthedime are the two making the obvious claims, but we’re going to take a risk here. Everglow was beaten by Mcfabulous at the start of the season, but we realized that the Nicholls horse isn’t everything. . A second after Star Gate the last time we did not feel confident either, as the soft ground may not be preferred. FEARLESS FRACAS & IN DETAIL (Leg 2, 13:20) have not done anything wrong so far and as long as they continue to improve, they will soon match the skills of the other previously ridden horses.

Leg 1: 4, 11, 13
Stage 2: 3, 4
Stage 3: 2
Stage 4: 1, 2
Stage 5: 1, 6
Leg 6: 1, 6
