Viewers are left wondering where the site was after celebrities landed in rural North Wales
I’m a celebrity . . . Get me out of here! Back last night and browse a part of the stunning coast of Angeles.
The new series opens with a helicopter landing of celebrities in an unknown location, before they are assigned to land from the highest cliff in the region..
The location was not revealed by ITV in the first episode of I’m a Celebrity but has been revealed locally since then..
It was speculated at first that the scenes were filmed in Snowdonia although this was not the case.
The epsil is actually set against the backdrop of Benamont, a village near Beaumaris in Anglesey.
Celebrities seem to have taken the challenge at the historic Flagstaff Quarry along the island’s coast.
The quarry has been a source of limestone since the 16th century and was still in use in the early 20th century.
Limestone from the area was also used to build the two bridges crossing the nearby Menai Strait.

The strait can be seen from the top of the quarry, which provides spectacular views of the surrounding area.
Spectators can also see Puffin Island and its lighthouse in the background, which are just over a mile away..
Celebrities in awe of the local village of Penmoun, including Jessica Plummer, were in awe.
The former Easter actress said, “Look at this, it’s amazing. I wish my phone was to take a picture.
After the mountain peak, 10 celebrities were finally escorted to camp at Gwrych Castle in Abergele.
This is where they will spend the next three weeks, although they will likely take on another adventure..
The new series from I’m a Celebrity . . . Get me out of here! It continues tonight on ITV at 9pm.
