Rahul Dravid, the former captain of the Indian cricket team, turns 48 today (January 11th). The cricketer began his Team India journey with Sourav Ganguly at Lord’s in 1996.
Dravid announced his retirement from international cricket in 2012. A short airtime later, he was looking after the next generation of Indian cricketers and is said to have led the U-19 team to a World Cup victory in 2018.
Dravid holds the world record for the most balls in test history and has played the longest Test innings for India as he battled for the best 270 of his career against Pakistan in 2004 for over 12 hours.
