NEW DELHI: Facebook’s own photo sharing platform Instagram released a new set of stickers on the Thursday before International Women’s Day 2021, which will be celebrated on March 8th.
The photo sharing platform said the new stickers are in solidarity with frontline workers, mothers and communities who support women.
These stickers are in solidarity with frontline workers who have been affected so much by the pandemic Taking responsibility with mothers, members of the disabled community, older Asian women who have been exposed to racism, and all support communities that have sparked joy in life for women around the world, the company said in a statement.
The stickers were designed by five artists to bring the experiences of disabled women, healthcare workers, motherhood, queer / trans women and more to life corners.
Users can also add these new stickers, illustrated by various women around the world, to their own stories.
Last month, social media giants Facebook and Instagram added stickers, AR – Effects and filters released to celebrate the Lunar New Year.
