Punjab Kings has named former Australian top cricketer Damien Wright as its new bowling coach for the IPL 2021 Edition.
MUMBAI: Punjab Kings has former Australian top cricketer Damien Wright as its new bowling coach for the upcoming one The 45-year-old Wright was also the head coach of the U-19 cricket team in Bangladesh and will join the Punjab Kings squad under the guidance of head coach and director of cricket operations, Anil Kumble, support.
The team looks great and there is tremendous potential in this roster. I look forward to having a great support team this season of the IPL, « said Wright.
Wright has worked with the Australian Big Bash League teams Hobart Hurricanes and Melbourne Stars, and has also been the bowling coach of the New Zealand teams.
In addition to Wright and Kumble, Punjab Kings employees also include assistant coach Andy Flower, punch coach Wasim Jaffer and field coach Jonty Rhodes.
