Vasco: Jamshedpur FC and Bengaluru FC want to end their playoff hopes and have one last game ahead of them. They want to end their Indian Super League campaign with a win if they face each other on Thursday.

The lack of consistency over the season has cost both sides a playoff spot.

Owen Coyle’s Jamshedpur is currently in in sixth place in the table, two points above his opponents. While a tie would be enough for JFC to finish sixth, a loss could see them lose their place to Bengaluru.

In the previous game, JFC stunned the blues when Stephen Eze split the two sides. After their 2-0 win against Mumbai City they would be very confident.

« We are very close to these playoffs (points) so we want to finish on a strong note. We have to play very well and try to get three points to win. Bengaluru still has the AFC (Cup) to play, they will be very good.  » focused so we have to be ready for the challenge. «

This is the first time for Bengaluru that they have not qualified for the ISL playoffs. Their chances of finishing in the top four have been slim since Carles Cuadrat left mid-season.

Despite the missing Siege, interim coach Naushad Moosa was proud of the way his team fought to the end.

« The consistency wasn’t there, but we were always positive and tried to see if we could (to the playoffs) create with the strength we had, « he said.

» We always wanted to win because nobody wanted to accept that we weren’t a good team or that we couldn’t make it. We always tried to do our best. «

The injured Biswa Darjee will miss the game for BFC alongside Ashique Kuruniyan, who is serving a suspension. On the other hand, Nerijus Valskis will also be out due to a suspension.

Moosa, who has fielded up to eight young players this season, said he would try to give them more playing time in their last league game.

« It’s important that we have a balanced team, but yes, we will have more young players tomorrow. «
