Sergio Lobera has the chance to achieve the ultimate double by taking the ISL title today after securing the League Winner Shield last month, while Antonio Habas can take on a third ISL title to be the most successful manager in the league Sergio Lobera will be looking for his first Indian Super League (ISL) title, while Antonio Habas will be keen to maintain his flawless record in the ISL final when Mumbai City FC at Fatorda Stadium in Goa against ATK Mohun Bagan (ATKMB) starts on Saturday.
Mumbai’s head coach Lobera already led FC Goa to second place in the 2018/19 edition and lost the final against Bengaluru FC, while Habas from ATKMB made a clean 2-0 – Set a summit record after having previously managed two trophies with ATK to merge with Mohun Bagan – including 2019-20.

The second of these (a 2-0 setback) came on the last day of the league stage when Lobera’s men Habas in the coveted AFC Champions League -Slot stuck. However, the Mumbai coach stated that the games would not affect the process on Saturday.
« It’s all in the past; we have to look to the future, » Lobera said. « We know they [ ATKMB] are a very good team with very good players and good dynamics. But the most important thing is to focus on ourselves. We have to work 100% on our style of play and our ideas, « he said.
Recent form in the semi-finals playoffs will give ATKMB confidence as Mumbai beat Khalid Jamil’s formidable NorthEast United FC 3-2 on aggregate in regular time. He puffed and puffed against Goa and ended up winning a nerve-wracking penalty shootout to advance .
Lobera will also miss seasoned full-back Mandar Rao Dessai, who is out due to suspension, while Habas has a near-full squad to choose from. The only problem for ATKMB will be how themselves Midfielder Edu Garcia has recovered from an injury and whether he is fit.
The tie is also being billed as a clash of ideas between the two Spanish managers – Lobera’s pass-and-move football versus Habas’ counterattack style. While the approach of the former is very popular – despite the recent pinch of pragmatism – the latter has had to fend off slight criticism because it was not expansive enough. On the eve of the game, Habas was asked again and he refused to be included in the debate.
