John Legend played a powerful cover of Nina Simone’s soulful classic « Feeling Good » at the foot of the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, DC on inauguration day. The Grammy Award-winning artist donned a sleek brown coat over a black turtleneck for the Celebrating America TV special tonight in honor of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.
The 42-year-old father of two Bringing his family for all the excitement, appeared for Joe Biden at a rally in Philadelphia the day before the November 3rd election. This was the case before his appearance at the Capitol. In the evening, Legend took some photos in front of the Lincoln Memorial with his wife Chrissy Teigen and the children Luna (4) and Miles (2) wore chunky brown lace-up boots with navy pants and a chunky black scarf. Meanwhile, Teigen sported an eye-catching red double-breasted suit courtesy of Proenza Schouler with Bottega Veneta sandals with red mesh and an exaggerated square-toe design. The 35-year-old model was also given a polished black shopping bag, the shape of which is inspired by bags from the 1960s.
As for the children, Luna wore a white coat with matching tights and brown calf-high boots, while Miles Put on a dark blue peacoat, black pants and gold metallic high-top trainers.
Next to Legend were Tim McGraw, Bruce Springsteen, Demi Lovato, Jon Bon Jovi, Justin Timberlake, Ant Clemons, Tyler Hubbard from Florida Georgia Line and Foo Fighters at the concert.
