Takefusa Kubo, nicknamed « the Japanese Messi », returned to Spain in 2019 when he joined Real Madrid but has yet to play for the club.

Madrid: Real Madrid said on Friday that young Japanese winger Takefusa Kubo has been loaned out again, this time to La Liga rivals Getafe, where he will end the season.
Kubo, 19, spent some time in the youth system in Barcelona, where he was predictably referred to as the « Japanese Messi » before joining FC Tokyo.
He returned to Spain in 2019 when he joined Real Madrid but has yet to play for the club .
He spent the last season in Mallorca, scoring four goals in 36 games when the club was relegated.
He started this season in Villarreal, but after only 13 appearances, mostly from the bank, that credit became cut on Friday just before it was loaned to Getafe.
