A suspect stabbed a man on a Brooklyn sidewalk Monday afternoon in broad daylight, police said.
The unidentified suspect stabbed 24-year-old Jose Perez Rivera several times in the chest and arm around 3:00 p.m. near Hart Street and Knickerbocker Avenues in Bushwick, police said.
Rivera was taken to Elmhurst Hospital by first responders but died shortly afterwards, authorities said.
A 21-year-old man was taken into custody at the scene, but police said he had not been charged until early Tuesday.
It was not immediately clear what led to the knife stab. An investigation into the murder is ongoing.
